I was actually wondering how many people were going to say baby JDs, especially considering how many I have and how much I love JDs lolMy first guess in the bag was Jack dempsey
Yea, $5 dollars is fine. I paid about $12 @ .75 - 1 inch for mine each being they were f1. I seen a few at my LFS for $5.55 odd number but they were all measured at 1.5 inchesok, i'm convinced, all 3 of mine look almost identical to that one. Thanks guys

it was a LFS....even the owner said they were nicaraguensis, but he generally takes my word for what a fish is even if i'm wrong hahaha. I imagine nicaraguensis would cost a bit more considering they seem to be harder to findYea, $5 dollars is fine. I paid about $12 @ .75 - 1 inch for mine each being they were f1. Yeah, rainbow cichlids are seasonal for LFS. Some get them others don't As for the nicaraguensis the body structure and pattern was a bit off. I think if the color was deep yellow and the front of the body was barred my other guess would have been Australoheros sp. Red ceibalit was a LFS....even the owner said they were nicaraguensis, but he generally takes my word for what a fish is even if i'm wrong hahaha. We don't have the best selection in SE PA when it comes to LFS and i refuse to buy anything i can't visually see swimming in front of me before i pay a cashier. I can deal w/ torn fins, but that's about as far as i'm willing to compromise.![]()
