any car guys on here

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a 91' mustang gt, I blew up the stock 302 years ago and finally ended up putting in a 347 stroker motor from Summit Racing. I have her dialed in pretty well, I haven't dyno tested it or anything yet but according to their charts it's supposed to be around 525-550hp. Giant Ford aluminum racing heads, 10:1 pistons, giant intake, ect, ect...lots of other goodies. ( I can post full parts list if interested...what I can remember anyway. lol) With a Muncie 4 speed and a 4:10 posi rear end.

The motor sat on the stand for almost 3 years getting pieced together VERY slowly. lol (sorry for the poor photography)

Then another year in the car before I could afford to finish it.

I finally finished it this spring and currently have around 500 miles on the motor...not even broke in yet and it already scares the s**t out of me. hahaha

That is awesome. I remember it took me a year to rebuild the motor on my mustang.

I do have a 200 shot nos set up but I don't think these little ford blocks can handle the torque for too long. (and I don't want to change the pistons back again) Ford's recommended max for this block is only 450hp. I have an old 390 that I'm going to start working on next spring...no idea what I'm going to put it in yet though.

Shane McAlary's Black Bird Vega on Street Outlaws was pretty fast. Too bad he crashed it in June.

I just saw this show for the first time a couple weeks ago! I wish I had Discovery channel to watch more. I raced with alot of the LA guys years ago. As a matter of fact, Donnie with yellow Vega kinda inspired me to build MY Vega, He's a wizard with those cars. We used to hang out a lot.
