I work at a fish store in Ontario - the six "rio chacamax" salvinis came directly to us from our supplier in the south. (and then directly home with me! heh)
I don't know where more can be acquired - supply up here is almost nonexistent, as afaik they are all descendants of the ones brought to Europe in 1912. One of the major cichlid sites in America might be able to help? Probably better access than we have up here in Canada.
I do plan on breeding these and they'll be available on here if/when that eventually happens.
I put a couple pics of ones of the males last week - they are young yet and the females have way more color so far but you can already see all the red beginning to come in on the belly of the male.
