Hi , my texas cichlids keep breeding in my pond and I transferred the fry at a 55 gall aquarium but , they dont seem to make it pass 2 weeks any ideas why :( ?

In the pond fry will always have constant food for grazing available, algae, rotifers, daphnia. Fry need lots of food, many small feedings per have always worked for me, and i always allow lots of algae to grow in my fry tanks.

I also like to raise artemis and daphnia in outdoor tubs that can be added to fry tanks 3 to 4 times per day

In winter artemis can be raised inside and make great fry food.

well the problem with my pond is its not the only fish there . kois , goldfish and my texas are in it . They all get along fine no casualties except for the fry . my solution was to transfer them to an aquarium but they dont seem to make it

explain how you move and acclimate them from pond to aquarium, please.

I put fry in a plastic wait for about 15-20 mins before popping the plastic in the aquarium .

and there is no heater since I live in a tropical country and since I cnat afford to buy one yet

Try testing all water parameters in both the pond and tank you are moving them to 1st. I'm thinking PH, Ammonia or Nitrates might be the issue here......Have you tried just doing a dozen or so at a time or do you move them in by the hundreds?

Do you fill the tank w/ pond water? That might be good or bad.....depending on the bioload and water parameters of the pond......might be better to do 50% pond water and 50% fresh from the tap/dechlorinated or use 50% R/O.

Also how big is the tank?? Filtration? How big are the FRY, aas well?

Most likely the fry are dying of starvation in such a large aquarium. Take the fry with water from the pond and place it in a small aquarium (10 gallons or less) with a seeded sponge filter. This will make it easier for the fry to find food without expending too much energy looking for it. Give the fry multiple feedings each day. As the fry grow, move to larger aquarium.

I feed them dapnhia and brine

the problem is when I transfer them to the aquarium they seem
