With gars ive been told its not so much the volume of the tank thats the problem but the width as they arnt as flexible as other fish. Mines currently in an 8x2x2 so ill have to move him on once he outgrows it as a 2ft wide tank isnt wide enough for him

I understand. Ideally, a custom aquarium would be slick (when I win the lottery) to make a complete wall an aquarium or something...... That's my dream.

I'm building an 8,000 gallon pond for my alligator gar right now. I will begin posting information when it is up and running. Designing the filter right now and then waiting on rock work to be completed.

I'm so excited! I have many fish that will even outgrow that!

Oh, by the way the dimensions are 72x36x27.
