Different strokes for different folks.... Here's my take on it.....

Some people like me will gladly pay that kind of money for a nice Marble. Truth be told I've paid almost twice that. Would do it again too. Do the math - how many pups does it take before the money is recooped? IF it is recooped who gives a flying (insert explicit here) what the animal costs?

People gladly pay 2-3X the amount of money we're talking here for black mutts. Some of you wouldn't be judging them as "NOT worth it" now would you?

All it takes is for 1 person to think it's worth it...... IF they have a super nice male and pair it with this female then the pups could be top shelf. Then what? You folks judge them as "NOT worth it" and one of my buddies who likes marbles like I do buys them all - cause I decide to sell them for 25% the advertised price cause 4 years ago he hooked me up fat with a 1500$ ray for $500.

What just happened? We're enjoying top shelf Marbles and swapping them with each other breeding even higher quality that we just continue to trade amongst each other giving us more and more top shelf Marbles to fill our tanks, then the tanks become so full of beautiful Marbles that it's funner for us to go sit in front of our Marble filled tanks then to sit behind the computer and watch you guys judge what is and is NOT "worth it".

Pretty soon top shelf Marbles can't be bought with money...... Only returned favors to each other - each other being us idiots out there that buy rays that "aren't worth it".

Wouldn't it suck to miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the hobby to its fullest just cause "it wasn't worth it"????? Last I checked if the money was recooped then isn't it WELL worth it?

This is exactly why top shelf Marbles aren't always real easy to obtain. You guys seem to think that rays should be "worth" a certain dollar value - well when you breed something you think is nicer then that "maket" value what do you think happens? I'll tell you exactly what happens - that gorgeous creation is never even offered to the market to be judged cause the creator judged the whole process as "NOT WORTH the headache of trying to sell to narrow minded individuals that judge what something is or isn't worth"

I think all rays are to expensive

It's the electricity, tanks, equipment, and food that kill me......

People wonder why I think it should be ok for me to sell my kids to fund the rays.....

Your right about that! For me I only have 3 rays and the food they eat is more then my pug and cat
