I need a net. I have the biggest one my LFS sells. Now I need to net some adult Zonatus out of a 540 gallon tank, and the nets I have ain't gonna cut it.

Where do I order the right size net for foot long fish? What do you use? You have a link to the right equipment maybe?

And how do you net fish? I'm pretty bad at it, I end up having to drain a bunch a water, putting up a divider to section off the tank, fish jump over the divider. It's always a big production.

My initial thought when reading this was go to your local bass pro shop and see if they have something.

I did this when I had my Niger cat. The other option would be a swimming pool cleaning net.

What size for 12-14 inch Vieja and Amphilophus? There's a 16X16 and 23X23. I'm guessing a 23X23 would be good, but I don't want it to be TOO big?

I tend to use them for netting ponds, so I go the biggest possible, granted landing nets are much harder on fish but the finer nets are harder to source.

You can use the larger nets to secure fish and remove from water by other means like pillow case or plastic bag
