Current CRS breeding tank also, darkened as I've had to grow salvinia to block the intense light, but I have a notion to remove them and see what happens

Nice, I'd be very very surprised if the dwarf puffer doesn't bite him to death though; I'd keep a very close watch on his fans :)
From the behavior I've seen today, the Puffer could care less about the shrimp. She's been pecking at snails and algae or greeting me at the front of the tank. The only time she's been near the shrimp was when I first introduced her and when she swims past the shrimp. Along with that the shrimp is currently about 10x longer than the Puffer, being at least 25x larger by volume.

That's good news, I'm not trying to be a kill joy btw; just being honest I'm my experiences with them :) tanks looking good btw

It was a lot more work to aquascape and get running than I imagined, but the result was worth it. I think I have a good mix of fish to look at. The shrimp gives me something interesting to watch, the tetras color, and the Puffer personality. Together they all compliment the plants too.

I'm not as happy with the baby tears though... They're growing extremely slow and are very messy. I would rather have something that grows faster and has slightly larger leaves, but I already spent the money in the plants, I can't return them, and I'm not throwing them away. Hopefully that will change in a couple weeks once they get settled in.

If the baby tears fail, try monte Carlo; it has bigger leaves, grows faster and is much easier

What would be considered normal behavior for bamboo shrimp. Mine has been clinging onto the ludwigia for a few hours now. convict360 convict360

Does a Dwarf Puffer's diet consist of algae? My DP has been more interested in algae the past couple days than frozen bloodworms, mysis, or live snails. Along with that I'm thinking about not getting any more DPs to completely avoid agression. Do they live well alone? Fat Homer Fat Homer
