just wondering where everyone keeps their temps at? i was keeping mine at 82 but bumped it
up to 84 the last couple of days and they seem so much more active.

77-78 F. Gets close to 80 in the summer.

My tanks are in a mostly finished garage. The temps drop into the winter months to 78-80 but I am usually 80-85 the rest of the year.

I use a thermostatic mixing valve (credit to DIDSYS for the idea) to keep the temps stable via the drip system with heaters as an emergency backup.

Nice! Those valves are handy. Do you notice your hot water tank runs alot? Curious.

Did you ask me a question? There is no text in your post.
Wired lol. Yes was wondering if your hot water tank runs alot more then usual. I'm worried of it barley turning off if I did this? Was curious of this.

Not really. No impact to hot water overall in regards to running out etc... I'm still married and that wouldn't be the case if this thing caused issues for the hot water. (my wife + cold shower = JK feeds himself lol)

I can adjust the heat settings on the tank and then adjust the valve in seconds. I just don't make adjustments while it's cold unless I have to. My drip is heated, dechlorinated and adjustable GPH per tank. It's a game changer for ray keepers. Especially those of us feeding pregnant females who don't want to have to worry about temps..

I'm gonna do this for sure. Ambient room temp also plays a role I guess. One thing I have noticed is with a large tank and high flow it seems my 300 watt heater barley turns on with room temp at 70. Tank stays stable at 80. Definitely a great feature to have the hot/cold drip
