Yep definitely a female. I really enjoyed the Texas cichlids I had. They had a lot of personality and I would have kept it over the cons. But that's just my opinion. Sounds like you have a pretty nice set up
my plan with this tank was for growing the red terrors. I thought I would of lost a bunch on the way of the grow out but they all lived. Texas was the king of the tank and tanking away from the RT's. I agree Texas cichlids are awesome. He was my second one. Really wish I had room in my other tank for him
Agh I see. I guess I don't blame you then. Would love to see pics of the other festae. One of my favorites.
Ya I never had festae grow out. I have a video but it won't let me upload it. I love black convict cichlids also. If they grew 15" they would own them all haha. The have a big attitude for the size they are. The JD is just another fill in. I was never a big fan of them but they are semi aggressive and hold there own without taking away from the RT's.
