Red head Tapajos Eggs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well if you think it would work I would like for the parents to rear them. But they are in a community setUp

Actually letting the parents rear them would be better atleast until their free swimming so the parents can gain experience. Do you have anything nocturnal in the aquarium with them?

Yes there are some plecos in there. The eggs survived a few nights last time they spawned. I just left a small light on. But the third day they were gone but seemed to me like they fungused up and parents ate them and wasn't due to lack of them protecting the eggs

Oh ok I suggest doing the same this time and hopefully you see the parents mouth brooding.:D

Thank you. When would be an opportunity after that to get the fry though? Once the parents spit the fry I'm sure they won't last long?

The parents will signal the fry back in their mouth if they feel fry are in danger.

If you notice the female not eating and the eggs are gone from the slate she will be holding the eggs.
