What's your oldest fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
this old girl was out of her cave tonight, so I thought why not give her a little mfk attention. I'm not exact on her age but she is at least 12-14 yrs old. (Came from the pet store roughly 04?)
Survived two separate severe losses of fish and been from tank setup to tank setup over the years, and is currently the queen bee of my mbuna tank

So what's your guys oldest fish? Post em up
Nice syno, mine is much smaller.

My oldest fish I presume to be one of my African knives. Given that they have only grown about 2cm in the 6 months I have had them I'm guessing the one I purchased at about 11.5cm is my oldest

I keep losing the ones I had raised myself over years. My oldest is a white and orange koi born in 2005-2006. So about a decade old. A bunch of others are about the same age. Some rescues I have can be 15-20 years old but this doesn't count.

Up to 30+ years old synodontis featured in this thread plus I collect all the threads like yours in there too: https://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=30928

Wow looks like I don't need to fear old age with mine any time soon lol

My trilineatus cory, got him back when I had my 5 gallon betta tank. He is probably about 6 now, he was full grown when I bought a group of 4 of them. The rest didn't live more than a year.

He is an unkillable munching machine, poor sob has made it through every disaster I've caused haha. He scoots around with my bronze cory in my guppy tank who is almost 4. I need to get them some more buddies. Maybe I'll trade for plants or baby convicts.

Also a convict that I got when I rescued fish a while ago is really big with a big head hump so he his probably at least 5 as well. Not sure how old the other fish are but my sae's are almost 3. I had a brown sailfin molly that I bred from petsmart ones that lived to be almost 4 as well. She died before I moved into my apartment, poor spot.
