I recently purchased 4 juveniles around 2 inches each. How do I get them to breed later on down the road? Is there anything in particular I should do as I grow them out? Any help would be much appreciated.

HI, nothing special to do. Feed them well, good water quality and the rest will happen when they are about 5,5-6". Then they start to building pairs when you got both genders.
Any update on that aimara of yours? Curious how much it has grown in the past year since you last posted.
Yep, that's pretty much what I remember...
I bought 6 juveniles and after a while I had a pair which proceeded to lay eggs regularly....didn't really do anything special as far as I can recall...
But it's been over 25 years, so the details are a bit hazy.
