Beside a Fork Lift...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Your main concern will getting everything level. Use steel shims under the legs so they don"t crack and all apart. Any uneven pressure on any part of the tank will be bad for it and cause a leak or cracked tank.
I am asuming that acrylic can crack. If not it will stress the seams of the tank.
Thanks for the help. Stand will be levelled before the tank even goes on.

Exactly. Not to many of the good tanks wind up on craigslist. They are always sold amongst each other

I've never seen anything even close to what I want in my area. The closest city to me is Houston, Tx and you'd think there would be tons of tanks to choose from but I haven't found anything over 125 gallons that sparked my interest.

This is the only tank I've found over 200 gallons where they don't want over $1,000 for.

They say it needs to be sealed.

I would take that. Good dimensions and nice tank, a reseal is nothing. I found most people don't post it because of the low ball offers they will receive. And all the no shows and time wasters

Something that drives me crazy about Craigslist sellers is that the ones I come across never respond. I sent no less than ten emails to different folks looking for a four foot tank and got two responses. Both the responses were for tanks that were a little out of my price range and a little further than I wanted to drive too :( I have one guy lined up to buy his 46 gallon bowfront and he will send me an email and then wait another day to respond.....

If it were just a little bigger I'd take it. I'm looking for a 300.

I no longer post my tanks on kijiji anymore, I normally ask previous contacts the mfk group chat or post here before kijiji now. I hate time wasters

What irritates me is that I'm not wasting anyone's time. I'm asking simple questions with the intention on going to look at the first person who will respond and work with me if I feel the price is high.

Not sure what they will be yet but there's been a lot of talk that this tank may be better suited for the R2R fish forum...;)
I was thinking about setting up a 20 and putting a shrimp in it so I could join the local club. Thats where I am finding the deals are where I live.
