Maybe my wording is off maybe its more to do with the batches than the vendor. Food for thought my other congi also came from another member who got it from another member who said that it was imported directly to a friend that was bringing in some other african fish (wasnt toyin)
But like hao showed us its probably more to do with the batches.... if thats so could the dofferent batches be from different locations ?
I think polyaddicts congi look the same as far has head shape and eye position

It could just be the camera angle making the eye appear small/in lower position.
I don't think different batches are different locations. My friend Ray ordered bunch of congicus(50+) directly from Africa. I believe he brought in 2-3 batches(few months apart). I bought at least 10-12 pieces(not all at once) from him. They all varied a bit. But they are still from the same location.
Here are some of the Congicus(12"-16") he brought in.
A lot of DOA(some nice looking pieces too
) 12"-20".
He also brought in some monster 22"-23" laps, bunch of endlis, upper jaws and a lot of exotic fish in the past.

So in your opinion the difference are simply varied by genetics from fish to fish ?

Yeah. I think the difference are simply varied by genetics because the differences are not significant enough to be from another region.
As for the "kayo", it was a name given by one of the vendors who brought in Congicus back in like 2010 or so. Those Congicus came from Lac Kayo(Lake). No idea where the typical Congicus we get come from but they don't look any different from the Kayo Congicus IMO.
