no adhesive is going to say "aquarium safe" when it wasn't designed for that. That's asking to get a bill from a lawyer for ruined floor boards and carpet. Most if not all silicone is inert once cured. RTV 108 is used by pro aquarium builders, but that's not its intended purpose.

which pro aquarium builder use it?
 
RTV 108 Is very strong and you can use it for builds if you want. But as far as being safe to use GE I is safe. Its just not as strong as the RTv108
