I have a tank in mind which i will post down below so you can see if it is good. In Addition What fish would be good to keep.

Thank you,

For a tank that size you don't need much, just a filter or two and a heater. Get some pool filter sand because it's cheap and looks fine. What kind of saltwater fish did you keep? Do you generally like more aggressive fish or peaceful fish? Since the tank is only 300L I would stick to fish that top off around the 6-8" mark, no bigger as you'll have to upgrade.

Welcome to the forum!

Also, you can find some pretty good deals on Craigslist.

Also you need dechlorinator such as Seachem Prime and a good Freshwater test kit this if you didn't know this already. Welcome aboard :)

Yeah you can probably use all of your current equipment and some of it (e.g. skimmer) can taken away. For a tank that size you probably want a really strong canister filter or a wet/dry. Lights are cheaper for freshwater (plants need more than fish only) than reefs, but a reef light would grow the hell out of some plants! Just don't use a lot of blue light. 6700-10,000K would be great.

What equipment do you have already? Maybe you can use some of it!

I was able to set up a planted Fluval Edge 12gal for less than $200. The tank was on sale for $90, lights and filter came with it, heater was $20, substrate was $15, plants, fish, and decor were $45, and I already had chemicals and food.

Watch out for good deals at local stores and you can set up a new tank for pretty cheap. Other than what I already mentioned, you'd need Seachem Prime, Stability, and flake food (and possibly pellets if you want cichlids).

What are you looking for in a freshwater fish? Something aggressive looking? Their are plenty of freshwater eels (not true eels) you can buy, along with bichirs. If you want something with color, usually small schooling fish have that, along with cichlids. Flowerhorns have a good mix of aggressiveness and color, although they need to be kept alone because of how aggressive they are. Personality is usually a trait found in cichlids. They'll follow you around the tank, "dance" once they see you, and a few other things like decorate the tank to their liking.

I thought maybe Red Parrot fish and etc. I have a heater, lights, Skimmer, Filter and etc. I will post a pick of the tank I have now.

This picture I have now of what I want the tank layout to look like.
