hello MFK,
my house recently experienced a power outage and i noticed a significant amount of water from my tank gets drained down to my sump. i already accounted for power outages so there is more than enough room for the drainage, but my question is will a 90 degree angled PVC elbow drain less water than a normal a bulkhead strainer?
the tank is 55 gallon 4ftx13inx21in and the sump is a 20 gal drum. i believe GPH produced from the pump is around 550.
i like the looks of the low profile strainer, but if the upturned PVC can potentially reduce the amount of drainage to my sump i'd take it.
anyone have any experience with this?
