Yeah, I think the original thought is that it might blend in with plants? But it doesn't at all! I used to have to try and hide it with plants, now it doesn't show.

Really easy and cheap too. I just make marks on the pipe where I want the holes, then just drill out the amount of holes you want. In the case of my axolotls, since they hate moving water, I put in a 12 inch spray bar and covered all the holes (except for one) with intake sponges. The sponges diffuse the current in a huge way, and the hole I left open is pointing up so it creates some surface agitation for oxygen exchange :)

My husband never noticed - a friend who was over on Sunday did though, so the fish is out of the bag! Hahaha

He's still doing great. Very visible, likes to swim around in the evenings with the rope fish. :)

I fed bloodworm soaked pellets last night, saw him take in but spit out pellets. Will have to work on that one.
