You know, I'm wondering if that was maybe a bit too many fish for a 5 gallon bucket, especially if some were larger fish. Maybe split them up more between a couple buckets?

Thanks yeah that might have just been way too much fish for way too small a bucket for just long enough of time. I messed up, but I will just have to learn from this experience.

Sorry for your loss. Next time get yourself a simple power inverter and run a very low wattage heater off of it. Should ensure that everyone makes it okay.

Thanks yeah, there's more to the story than just the lack of heater, just wanted to vent to everyone about losing some of my favorite fish. That being said I don't intend on having to move fish ever again.
