Hi MariaS how can I contact you on a pm would like to ask you about Rays, its rather urgent.
you said yuo recently imported some rays, what documentation did you need to do this as I am getting the run around, I know I need a veteranary import permit but what else is required and where do i get it. as I'm getting the run around and need accurate info.
Oh yes... I am sure you have been given the run around like i was...
It is not worth trying to do it yourself in your private capacity. It costs you a fortune and months later you will still be waiting
You have to apply to Dep of Environamental Affairs which I did
You then need to get an environamental risk assesor to fill in a report for you and you need to supply proof of where and how they will be housed etc..
This costs you few thousand rands
Once submited it can take months to come through.....
After spending a fortune and being fedup of waiting, I manged to find someone in the import of exotic fish business who brought them in for me
It might cost you a bit more for the ray but by the time you have spent the costs of all the requierements for your permit, you have spent more
