DMD, maybe you just need to see how it all fleshes out after the Teug is rehomed. Maybe you'll be inspired later on after you see how the dynamic changes.

Thats what I will do, just see how it turns out without the teug. If I see a huge bala then maybe I might add it but really want another upper swimmer.

Heres one, it was trying to catch a guppy and missed:)SMH, still a baby so his trying to learn how to hunt.
I need to train this guys to eat pellet.

This one it finally caught a guppy

Definitely agree on waiting and then see how it goes!

Not necessarily 'upper' but more than on the substrate like polys.

I looked at a yellow fin barb at Wet Spot and then decided no when I saw how large they got. Not sure what else...

Teugelsi update, been one week now and have only fed it one krill and two small pieces of tilapia. Looking much better but still has a gut I want down before I rehome it. Thinking one more week and it should look pretty good. Might feed it a pellet or two during the week.

Could try filament barbs. Will get 6inches with some height. They are a bit more active and will cover the middle and upper zones. Not sure what sizes you were looking for.
