Thanks for the recommendations! unfortunately I don't have money to burn right now lol. Spongefilter instead of the HOB filter? or in addition? Can I reuse the biowheels from before?

I'm sure we all have stories about our early stages of fish keeping... Fish gets sick and can be contagious. It happpens. Lots of not knowing what's going on is, going on, lol.... I remember my first 55 gallon. Lots of fish dying (Semi fancy goldfish). Should of asked for forum help

Benny is still not eating. It's been almost 1.5 weeks. He's also been breathing somewhat heavy despite the water changes.
Today he's appeared to have some bouyancy problems. Where he is fine one minute on the bottom. then 5 mins later, his tail is floating in the air either a little or a lot.
Not sure if his deep wound on his belly has affected his abdominal region. His stomach has looked slightly distended even though he hasn't been eating. It's the area right before the wound that is bulgy. It also looks kind of like his body is starting to bend there, but I'm not sure.
-wound on his stomach looks to be very deep and into some gray tissues and now has a red ring around it.
-wound on his back looks a little better.
On day 3 of 3 for kanaplex. Finished the 2nd duration of triple sulfa.

This sucks. I really feel bad for that fish. Have you been updating the thread in the health section ?
