What kind of pleco do I have?

This is a Gold Nugget, they may have called it a Gold Spotted

Is it possible mine will develop these colors in the future ? I see yellow blobs all over him just not as defined as that ones, the pet store told me it was a gold nugget I paid 30$ for each one , also is it 100% that the other is a vampire ?

Yea its a Vampire. The one you have will for sure not develop in the pleco that I posted. I paid $60 for that Gold Nugget.

The first Pleco is L001 which is a common Pleco.

The second is a vampire and is L240 which is a leporacanthicus.

First one is a L001(often mis-labeled as a sailfin). Second one is a vampire.

defiantly a L001 also I' not sure the 2nd one is a vampire it's body is too compressed I recognize it but can't put the name on it

the first one is l001 gold spot, the other one is L240. if you pay 30 for the L240 then I would say you got a good deal, l240 cost at least 10 time L001, but you paid 30 or a L001... I paid $3 for mine at 2.5''

I'm not sure where one could by any kind of pleco for between two and five dollars but prices certainly vary by location.

I got my L001 for $2.50 at a fish place that does sell fish cheaply. Here(locally) they run $5-$10
