I just got this female flowerhorn on friday for $180 but I notice it has a bloated stomach. I took the risk and bought home, treated it with API general cure. Few minutes into treatment a long white flat looking worm was coming out of that bloated stomach.

Keep that fish isolated and i would treat with "clear". Unless the fish is eating and if "she" is I would feed her epson salt stoked food to try and deworm her. If she has internal worms she is very unlikely to lay eggs. Get her healthy because females like that are very rare.

She is eating but I have to combat the bloat with api tetracycline. I don't know if it's a bacterial infection but I don't want it to become a dropsey situation. I don't see any pine cone appearance from the fish yet. It's willing to eat New Life Spectrum Hex Shield. What do you think I should do?

If she is eating then start feeding her food that is soaked in epson salt. There is a pinned article about this at the top of the page by RD titled Treating Hexamita aka Spironucleus with Epsom Salt Solution. I would use this feed for 10-14 days. If the fish is still eating it usually works. If the epson salt food doesn't purge out all the worms then I would move on to feeding her food that is soaked in CZ Clear Medication. If she won't eat the food soaked in Clear then I would use the small syringe the clear medication comes with to inject the medication into her stomach.
