How big is he/she now? To me it looks like a very well fed male. I swear everyone else gets lucky with males. Haha
Very beautiful gt either way.
I was really hoping for a male but I think it is a female, oh well. I'll grow her out and get me a male whenever I see one. She's like 3.5"

If you zoom in on those pictures you can just make out a blunt ovipositor.
A males organ would be very sharp and pointed.
Ok I'm convinced female, gotta find her a mate now. So would a males organ be out and noticeable as well or is it just the females that you can tell on?

You can spot a males organ but it is not anywhere near as pronounced except during spawning time.
It will be smaller thinner and very sharp looking.

Bc I can see it on her all the time but it looks sharp but it wouldn't be as visible if it was male so therefore I'm still convinced female. I will net it one day and finally clear my head by vent lol

Try and get a close up photo of it if you can.A female ovipositor is not sharp but blunt.

From my experience, my males are the ones that show most of the time, and the females usually don't. I found that pic to appear to look more sharp to me like a male but it's not a clear pic. This is a tough one

Do you see more rivulatus in your future?
Thanks.I would like to say yes but with so many nice species out there to try it will probably be a very long time before I do.
I am pleased i gave my gt's to my dad,at least I still get to see them.
I will always have a fondness for them though, great fish to keep.
