Yea, I see now a paroon as well.

Paroon shark catfish is a genuine species without known subspecies. So to answer the title question "The only kind".

Lol no need to apologize and perhaps I was not clear in my post.Calling Pangasius larnaudii a Black Eared Paroon does not make it a paroon shark....sanitwongsii is the only true paroon.

Name apart, I have hard time discerning the black spot. The photos are just too blurry.
