Now I'm confused.... Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 map shows my fish from an orange country whereas Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 map shows it from a mauve/pink country. Which is it? Pink or Orange? lol

Its the same map, mine only show region and river, were Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 map break the region in colors.:)

lol, yeah I got the whole map thing. It is just the comical nature of us all trying to figure out where these fish come from and trying to explain the names and catch locations.
From what my understanding is faranah lap ia caught in faranah region and and have this crisp fries pattern toward the tail like mine, Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 and J jaws7777 have.

The crinkle cut fry pattern has been one of those characteristic Faranah lap traits.

Yes and i believed that a guinea lap have more disorganized pattern toward the tail, but im not sure,
Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 can explaine it more than me.

Lol this never goes away hahhaa
A lap labelled faranah guinea and a lap labelled faranah are the samething. Which is what all of us have toyin explained it was just how hi distributors labelled them at different times of delivery. Polyaddict hast two one with crinkles like mine and one with patterns like dmd. All are the same fish though

A lap lebelled guinea (the country) could very well be different since their is no smaller collection point so to say.

Put aside the Faranah label for a short minute. Our Lap species is so complex.

I'm gonna put my photo and DMD123 Laps from Guinea versus 8 known faranah laps out of many. They're just different visually from marking style, headshape, and even smaller finlets than mine and DMD. Just my observation.

Faranah Laps - 8 examples below. Many more otherd consistent to looking like these. Don't force me to make more collages, lol.... There's just too many that look like these.
