Eartheater/sandsifter cohab with Red Wolf

Ive been considering picking up a 125g tank thats for sale and i would like to put a red wolf in it. I would however like to use sand as a substrate but i want something in the tank that will sift the sand. First thing that comes to mind that i would like would be a Geophagus since they are earth eaters and usually have good coloring and would look nice with the wolf. Any thoughts?

Should be ok. Make sure the geos are as big or bigger than the red wolf. Keep some places to hide for the wolf in case some aggression but doubt it'll happen with geos.
