I'm new to this site, and just wondered if any one can advise me, as 8 years ago I bought a albino clown loach, I don't do anything with it, as it hides all time under a volcano but when I clean tank I remove items and see fish now 3-4" long
Recently went back to same aquarium centre to buy some fish food and I asked about this fish and they said wow we only sold them once years ago and now extremely rare. So if so rare does anyone breed them or do I have the only one. Lol Pete

Welcome to MFK ☺ Never seen a Albino CL could you post a pic if you still have it.

Hi, I have tried to go to upload the video I took other day, but not quite sure why it won't let me upload it. It says png, jpg, jpeg, jpe, gif so I guess my video isn't any of these.
Video you need to host it somewhere like YouTube- pics you can upload direct to the mfk website

Awsome! Thanks for sharing FunWow! FunWow!

Very nice fish! He looks healthy and happy although rather small for an 8 year old loach, more like a 2 year old in size.

However, I don't believe he is an albino. Some clown loaches stop producing melanin for some or another reason.

Here is an old thread with a similar story.

I will just link the pictures below:

The loach I posted doesn't belong to the person who made this thread. This belong to a local fish store owner by me and was 6.5inches at around 5years old. Started off as a normal colored clown and then changed and yes they aren't true albino cause the eyes stay black instead of being red.
