Ropefish people where y'all at?

He's a blast. I might add one or two more if I can find them for a decent price, Utah is horrible for exotic fish prices. He's already grown maybe 2" since I got him and filled out quite a bit. Probably around 16.5" now. He almost reaches from front to back of the 125, 18" wide
I'll try to get pics soon but mine hate my setup and mostly hide under driftwood
I have one, although he always hides between the tennis balls (they're for the blood parrot to roll around, so she won't destroy anything). I can pick them up for $15 at 10" in Ga. Usually fish are expensive down here, but Rope fish always seemed to priced well.

They definitely like their own company, anyone with a solo one should get a couple more for sure! It can make them more active too.

Nice! Most of the ones around here are about the 8" mark. I got lucky with mine he was hiding in the tank decor so he never sold and was able to grow. Picked him up for $30 which is a killer deal around here. Most polys are crazy expensive around here
I've found that the warmer the tank gets the more active mine is. Right now the tank is around 82 and he is always cruising through the plants
I got this shot during the water change. This is the closest I've seen them since the first day I got them and they were swimming around.
