Hi Guys,

I've gone back and forth on this forever so decided to bring it to you to see some ideas. I am looking for a single glass banger for a 75 gallon. I have larger tanks but I would like this one to house this fish for life so would need to stay within reasonable size. I have tossed around possibly a single Jag, a pair of atapbo pikes, a purple wolf... etc.

To help with what i'm looking for I want something personable/active ( doesn't hide when i approach the tank and an open swimmer) and aggressive.

I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

A Flowerhorn fits that description perfectly. A 75 is plenty big enough for one, and they're colorful and personable.

Why are there so many of these threads...

Anyway philipraposo1982 philipraposo1982 keeps a GT...

I had goldfish in mine for a while, they are extremely personable and fun to watch :)

ugh. lol

have you seen how goldfish attack fingers? it's nasty :p

IMO all the big really aggressive cichlids are too big for a 75. A Polleni or similar COULD work but bigger is better :)

Ask yourself - you made a copy of your own asking what to stock your 70g with. It is a common tank size and just big enough for a nice wet pet.

As hendre noted, it is a good sized tank for a single adult male GT. It is a great sized tank for an ery ery, although I feel like they can be pretty hit and miss regarding personality. I had one for a long time that was sort of a log, but he was certainly excitable during feedings.

Jag wouldn't work long term in your 75, though you could get away with it for some time.

A single midas/trimac would also work for a while, but they really do start to look pretty cramped in a 4ft tank when they get big.

Yeah, I did but can't recall about wet pet stuff. I like my community tanks more :)

Larger cichlids can work, but IMO they just get pretty cramped in the tanks

I know there are multiple and multiple threads on this so i apologize. The only problem is everyone has different preferences so that is why i started this thread.

I know the Jag wouldn't be good int here for life that is why i nixed that idea.

GT and a flowerhorn are both great ideas. I have kept a GT before that wasn't as personable but it was in my 125G with 2 oscars so that very well could have been the reason.

I appreciate all the help guys. Any suggested is appreciated!

I think FH is a good choice, from what I have seen a very personable fish that is ideal as a wet pet
