220 Glass Aquarium euro brace

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I run closed loop circulation with inline pump. Inlet is bulkhead w/ strainer and outlet is T'ed to two separate loc-lines. I can understand how it can create nervousness. I think in my case the weakest link is the actual bulkhead themselves, and I'm less worried about the cemented PVC plumbing.

I would like to try something different and use the drilled holes. I will have ball valves connected to each bulkhead so if there is a leak or when I need to clean the canister filter. I have a pretty good idea how I'm going to setup this tank up. Thanks to everyone for replies when I start making some progress I will start a build thread but just a warning it will take a while for me to finish. I work full time and also pursuing a degree in Mechanical engineering.

Lol, same situation here. Work full time and going for an ME degree. It took me 9-12 months to finally get my 220 setup and running. It kept staring at me in my garage while I spent most of the weekend doing homework. Best of luck to you!!!

Yes ball valves will work for changing and cleaning the canister. What happens when your canister leaks and your not home?
I have had several canisters over the years and most of them leak eventually. just a thought.
