Admitted sump geek..looking forward to seeing pics of the plumbing. How do you plan on settimg it up

It's not going to be anything special. Diy sump ie plastic tote and a diy wet dry. I may throw in a certain item I have from my salt days...... we will see. I need to test it first and see if I can use it the way I want to. Back when I had salt my sump took up a quarter of my basement. 2 300 gal Rubber maid stock tanks 3 100 gals a 75gal glass tank as a return area 60 gal refugium with Skuba Steve the angler 6 different macros 2 55 gal drums a 6 foot skimmer. I had a 75 gal and a 120 as displays upstairs. So yea the wife has warned me....lol.

There was. Not really a ton and I had it so it all flowed well and mostly from gravity, well except for the returns. It really was pretty clean actually. I wish I still had pics of half of that stuff, between getting a different phone and my computer crashing we lost most of our pics, 90% of my reef pics a lot of them from our wedding and of our dogs over the last 10 years.... kind of a bummer really.

That sucks same happened to me but thankfully we were able to retrieve most of the pics.

What kind of pumps did you use to push the water up from the basement ?

My main return was a hammerhead, I had 3 different reefflo products running at one time. I think the skimmer was run off a dart the water change was handled by another one smaller not sure the name. salt mixing was a blueline.
I had all the drain and returns run through the walls and down into the basement. Since ive fixed the walls you cant tell it was even there.

I assumed it was a hammerhead some where in the mix another member on here loves hers...seems like they are one of the more powerful pumps out there
