Just got back from vacation and my first day back to work. Notice by the elevator in my building saying power and water is going to be out for the day for maintenance.

Temp wise I am not worried but my concern is the oxygen levels in the tank. How bad will this be for my fish?

Small bioload right now in my 75g with only 1x 4.5" gt and 10x 1.5-2" petricola. Will they be okay or do I need to quickly look at options for some sort of battery pump.

I've suffered power outages a few times. I just use a bucket to pick up and dump water a few times every 15-20mins. I haven't lost any fish yet from outages.

I keep meaning to look into a battery operated air pump.

I also use this method and never had a fish die also.

Unfortunately I am at work all day during the shutdown. The water is also being shut down during this period.

I am close enough to go home for lunch and check on things but it would only have been a few hours in and I'm sure all is fine at that point.

I will buy a battery powered air pump for the future as this sounds like a good start.

Sounds like there is nothing that can be done at this point besides cross your fingers. It also sounds like you have a low mass/volume ratio, so I would guess you'll be fine unless the tank is already having some sort of cycling issue.

Its a well established tank with a huge filter. I hope to go home tonight with everything in good order. It just sucks that I had no time to prepare as I just got back from vacation and found the notice by the elevator this morning.

I had a 75 gallon like you. A transformer near the apartment complex exploded, taking out my power for 3 days.

I stopped feeding the fish and they were fine. The BB was fine. I dumped a few cup of tank water into my filter (HOB) a couple times a day and the filter was fine.

The only thing that might be different is that I had gas heat, so the room temp did not fall, but the tank temp declined very slowly for 3 days.

Your bioload is not larger than mine was, so imo, you will be fine for several days.
