got a pair of BD about 7 weeks ago. both were about 10cm. now one is almost 18cm, and the other one is about 14cm. the different in size is too obvious.

is the bigger one growing too fast? or the 14cm one growing too slow in a mater of 7 weeks?.

tank is 200cm L x 90cm W x 60cm H

i stock ghost shrimps 24/7, so they will always have food at their disposal.
both are eating well, like pigs, as always since day 1.

You don't need the temp that high. 28 is perfect. Is the one that is growing faster a female? It's normal for females to grow faster than males.

from what i see, the bigger one is the male... hmmm...

i crank the temp to 30-32 coz higher temp = higher metabolism = eat more = more growth?.. lol, correct me if im wrong tho.. i put some wavemaker so they are surely get several hours of exercise every day.

The only problem with that is higher temp=lower dissolved oxygen. 28 is actually the high end of the range. Many people keep their rays at lower temps

Where does he say anything about temp? I must have missed that?
Anyway, don't worry, all rays grow at different rates. There is no hard and fast rule to it.

This is false. Rays are found in higher temps then 28. I don't think 30 is high at all for pups. I would want pups eating more .
