How big do you think they need to get before you release them to the big tank?

I take it his one is bigger than the holding pen thing?

They should be fine with the fish a similar size as them. I would do the DIY top just in case.
yeah its roughly 16x16x14 15 gallons. Not like 1 gallon.

That would be fine for awhile.

Are you thinking more like 4 inches until the larger tank? That will happen pretty quickly.

yeah Golddust is around 4.5-5 and hes fine. These would be eaten by the ctenopoma no doubt. I am setting up the 180 but I am doing a background so its gonna take a bit. I want to just set it up without. I know ill regret it if I don't do the background though.

Grats on the new guys, you'll love the Polli. Mine is a CB Polli but is the most active poly I've got and has a huge personality... probably actually my favorite poly and was a total impulse buy (Lol like I ever do that...)

I also think they will be fine if they get moved in gold dust after they get 4 inches. Yes, no one wants polys eaten!:)

Totally understand wanting to get the background set up first. Otherwise, that might be a pain to put it in after the tank is established....

The problem isn't Golddust its going to be ctenopoma. Golddust is in there now but I worry about it sometimes, all the bigger polys don't show him any mind at all but I catch the ctenopoma stalking Golddust when hes out. Background would be impossible to do after set up.
