They have heaps of personality. I like the ryukin and ranchus. The goldfish thing escapes me as well, the fancier they are the less I like them. Celestial may be the worst. I do however love koi ponds and if I ever build a pond it will be a tough choice between natives and koi.
+1 on the bubble eyesThey do have lots of personality. My kids love our ryukins because they are so friendly and nibble their fingers.
I do think the bubbly eyes are just weird though. Lol
I would say hate is a strong word. There's just some fish I wouldn't keep really, so many others to tryIf you hate any fishes then this hobby it's not for you, if anything wrong made you hate that specific fish species then I'm sure 100% human error which is you don't have knowledge to house it or you just ignore advises or taking risk and mixed them up, tank too small...etc and got bad result, it's just my 2 cents.
I agree. I had 5 for a while. Great fish, still my father's all-time favorite, but they have become very scarce and expensive since I have last had them.On the flip side one of my favourite fish is the African glass catfish. Busy and small
Yep, hate and don't like is 2 different world. I'm not aim at anyone I just don't see the thread title fit in for this topic.I would say hate is a strong word. There's just some fish I wouldn't keep really, so many others to try
