It actually came in a batch of laps. We just called it polypterus sp. aff. endli "Guinea". Contrast never really changed, even when I changed substrate.
Not sure about that but yeah they sometimes come in mixed. Even Endlis get mixed up in lap batch and vice versa. In the past, Toyin listed sp.Dabola 10"-13" so I would assume, he could order a batch of sp.Dabola when available. Of course. He probably received some endlis/laps in that batch.
So the plot thickens Sp. Delaware may have a legit name. Below are king els comments. It appears sp.delaware has some siblings on FB thst were caught in the tinkisso.

Agreed king-el i assume was just equating the two polys i think he was going on the holotypes of the multiple species. Meh sp.delaware has a nice ring. But thats a food point i forgot to bring up in that convo...mention it to him
