So, im looking at the pbb today and i notice he has some fraying on he fin. None of the fish mess with him at all. I watch them like crazy and ive never seen anyone bother him.

Im confused as to how it could be fin rot because i just tested my water and everything is fine 0 ammonia 0 nitrate and 0 nitrite. Just did a water change 2 days ago and i was having problems that i addresed in another thread. So what could it be?

Thats a tough one... I have an endli that will grab tails and shred the tips like that. It looks kind of white like that right after too.

Foul play.

Are you sure your getting 0 nitrate ? Should be some in there

If its not 0 its pretty low.

But my thing is I've never seen anything come close to bothering him and the teug has no frayed fins at all...

Man... I'm just at my whits end... seems like everything is going wrong in my fish room here lately...

i just had a bout with ich in the other tank, then i almost crashed my tank by misusing sodium thiosulfate and now i have something tearing up my pbb

i think im going to have to cut out the cichlids or at least the bigger ones... I know its not the winemilleri. Theyre too small to do damage like that.

Next week starts the thinning. I care about my polys too much.
