Well it looks like there's at least some breeding operations going on again if the super secret 2" AUL thread in the lungfish is any indication. Hopefully they've got them breeding reliably enough that costs might come down. It would be great if they'd get back into the US market, and seeing them readily bred would be incredible from a conservation standpoint
I don't think they ever stopped breeding. http://www.ceratodus.com/index.html
These breeders have been around for a long time. Just need to order a minimum amount of AULs. I don't remember how many but unless you are balling, you would need to make a group buy and split the cost. Not sure if the recent order was from these guys.

I heard these guys were all but done at this point, but yeah they've got a 10 fish minimum or something like that so it would have to be a crazy group buy with a lot of ballin' individuals

I wasn't balling enough to jump on the recent AUL train. :p Could only afford 2 congicus. Hopefully someday AUL are more affordable.

Haha I didn't even see where the train was leaving the station this time around, I just saw it arrive! Definitely on my fish bucket list though, really hoping cost comes down by at least half

I bought a 27" AUL few years back for like $500. That was much more affordable!

The recent batch might be coming from Asia then. International shipping fee blows....
