They are under a LED light in the pictures which may make them appear lighter colored than they are.
That was sarcasm. You get a lot of it in the Polypterus forum.Somehow I don't think this would be cost efficient or viable. I think the pellets and white fish will probably be the best options. Thanks again guys.
Thanks Zilch I will keep a look out next time I am at a grocery store or fish market. For now these guys seem happy munching away on the Hikari Gold pellets. I will also look into the carnivore pellets. Can I ask what bichirs do you keep? Have you ever successfully bred them in an aquarium?
Believe all tilapia products banned in Australia due to its invasiveness. Including importing frozen tilapia from Asia.

Bypass bloodworms. It's a mess, low nutrional value, and gets sucked into filters. Use any freshwater frozen fillets available in your country and a protein type sinking pellet.
Btw- congrats on the Senegal pick ups.
PetSmart sells Bloodworms in boxes of 120 cubes. You could just use a sheet of 20 cubes each day, although you may get weird looks when you get bulk boxes of blood worms twice a week.
Compared to Hikari cubes they are. I buy bulk for the 210, as the fish are pigs, and I buy Hikari for the other fish.I've got both the carnivore pellets and the cichlid gold my polys like both but have a much harder time chewing the cichlid gold
I keep
1x albino sen
1x regular sen
1x ornate
1x wc moke
1x wc del
1x teug
3x ropes
I'm shocked they won't let you import frozen fish filets because it's invasive
I don't know how you aussies deal with invasive species but this is how (some) Americans deal with invasive species
unfortunately bloodworms is all my fire will eat so I bought that 120 pack those cubes are tiny
I don't know how you aussies deal with invasive species but this is how (some) Americans deal with invasive species
Holy crap that was metal. I'm moving to Australianevermind I just found out how the aussies handle invasive species
They aren't too big. Maybe 5-6mm. My Polys can eat them rather easily. That video was crazy. Also do the Hikari Canivore pellets break apart easy? Looks like they come in one size don't want them to choke on it if its too big.
