I got this guy today from the Wet Spot in Portland. Someone had surrendered it there. The store guy said that it was originally bought from the wet spot too. Currently, their wc babies they have available are from Columbia, but they also get wcs in from other countries as well. It reminds me a bit of some Venezuelans I have seen. Any ideas?

Good looking Oscar even with the HITH. Keep the water quality up and he should heal up just fine.
Yeah I noticed the HITH and almost always walk away from fish like that, but couldn't pass it up. I tested my nitrates before a water change today at 10ppm. I've got an fx5 and an fx4 in the tank, use barebottom with driftwood and anubias and am really anal about the water changes. I hope it becomes less noticeable.

Sounds like you got it under control. With it not being a horrid case and clean water he should look near perfect in no time at all. Looks awesome otherwise.

Great looking wc oscar. What are the tank mates and tank size? I have always heard wc fish are somewhat more aggressive than cb fish, have you noticed any difference in behaviour?

The behavior is identical to the others!
The secret is only a couple couples, or more than 5 to 6!
Only one of the species also works!
I have in my aquarium today 1 couple and a third one that grew along with them that I believe to be female!
Sometimes I try to insert a 4 member and not very sure!
Now I've had about 6 and it worked, but then I wanted to vary the fauna a bit and decrease the amount!
My tank has 160x60x60!

In that tank 3 should be fine?
