So any idea on what it called would help a lot

Maybe the fish is smaller than I am thinking. What is the size?

Doesn't look like a common fish you would expect granny to buy at Petsmart.

looks like granny got you a nice big hybrid cichlid. Definitely texas in there, looks like maybe vieja as well, can't be sure. Is it mean?

It's a Texas x flower horn. That what I have in my 180 and looks exactly like yours. Mines not aggressive at all.

It's just over 11inch

It's a Texas x flower horn. That what I have in my 180 and looks exactly like yours. Mines not aggressive at all.

Mine is about a foot. Color isn't that great in my photos cus he was stressed out when I moved him in the new tank, but I'll post pics of his current coloration tmr
