How well does it do with mechanical filtration? What's the size of the tank? How often do you need to clean it.

The mechanical cartridge I clean once a week in tap water. The tank is a 60 gallon. I change the mechanical every three months. Once every 4 month I will clean and/or replace some part of bio-media. I also have a sponge over the outtake to filter which I clean twice weekly.

There is also a chemical filter that I change 2 months. This is all done on a schedule to not set back biological filtration.

I plan to put a g3 on a 16g, so I shouldn't need to do maintenance very often.
