Females generally will have the red. Its personal opinion but I like the look of the female for color but I like the bulkier males body shape.
I would say a female would have more space and colour in a tank like this.

If you email rapps (tangledupincichlids) he sometimes has fish that are unlisted. I contacted him explaining what i was looking for at one point, And to my suprise he listed off a good half dozen adult cichlids he had avail that werent on his site. One of which was an adult rtm male that had recently killed its female. Granted that fish is long gone by now im sure. But deff worth shooting him an email
A pike cichlid perhaps? Aren't too many species of pike that would out grow a 90 gal. If not then I say RTM like others have suggested
