I visited several LFS's today for fun and this one flowerhorn really caught my eye. He was a juvenile, only around 3-4 inches, but had such a big hump and was so interactive when I came near his tank (was kept in a 10 gallon).
I have no idea about flowerhorns and I was wondering if you guys could give me some insight on his type/breed and if he's worth the pricetag of 130 dollars. He looks bigger than he is in these photos, he was definately a small guy (3-4 inches). Wondering how big these guys get as well, thinking of keeping him as a solo pet in a 55 gallon. If I do get him, I'd have to temporarily keep him in a 10 gallon like they are in the pet store while I sell my current stock.
I've seen other flowerhorns but their colors weren't nearly as vibrant as this one, he was kind of half red half blue'ish. Also they had another flowerhorn that I didn't take a picture of, same size but a lot more white/yellow/pink'ish color with no patterns, they were asking 200 for that. I'll post a google image link of an identical/similar one, please tell me if it's worth the pricetag.
Similar to the 200 dollar one found on google images.
