So I really need to look at new fish tanks in order to support my current stock, which consists of potential giants (CK, pbass, pleco, black ear pangasius). In order to have more-I have too much already-I need a tank of 300 gallons or more. Where can I get a good deal on a tank that size? Most of you have tanks larger than this, so I'm assuming you know where to look. Any advice will be appreciated.

Where are you? I am in ny and have a 300 i couldnpart with.

Stalk craigslist. Depending on where you are many deals pop up therr.

Find a clothing or jewelry store that is closing down. Chances are they have a display involving 1/2+ inch glass. You should be able to get enough for very cheap or even free.

My friend just scored a complete 120g in good shape off Craigslist for a whopping zero dollars, for what ever reason owners wanted it gone.
I have gotten good finds on Craigslist and from the side of the road. Both are unreliable ways if procuring stuff. If you want a really good deal on a hap or reef tank someone has to give up, you can walk off with$5000 worth of tank, stand ,fish, coral and goodies for$800 but everything else on Craigslist sells for pretty much what it is worth most of the time.
