I want to get a pet Rockbass or maybe a large mouth, but the only thing I have is a glass 55g lizard terrarium that is not currently capable of holding water. Is there a type of sealant I can use to make it sound or am I better off buying a tank? Thanks for the help!

My 55 was used by its previous owner as a lizard tank. If its glass is thick enough, a reseal is all you need. If, however, it is a purpose built terrarium, chances are it is made of thinner, cheaper glass and putting water in it will cause it to bow and explode. My 55 is, I think, 1/4" annealed on the sides and 1/4" tempered on the bottom.
By the way, your bass will eventually need a MUCH bigger tank (300 in a year or two, 1500+ down the line)

Regular silicone caulk. No mold resistant or anything like that, it will kill your fish.

Just to clarify, if the tank was designed as a reptile tank, it should not be used as an aquarium. Did you buy it new or used?
someone gave it to me and he only used it for a lizard, its been sitting in my basement. I checked the glass thickness and filled it with water and it hasnt exploded or leaked
So how thick is the glass? Im not going to beat around the bush and just ask the question
