i have 2 tanks that are six feet 150 gallons

one i wanted to have mini monsters that grow around a foot ro less

here is the issue they get their ass kicked by my cichlids peaceful cichlids even

hajuta gar, needlenose,

WILL ANYTHING FIGHT BACK? they have teeth i have tried sabertooth twice six inches got killed by 3 inch jewels baby ones not breeding.

I tried to put sabertooh with peacefull same crap got ripped up

now my hajuta gar i think got killed by sailfine molly

there has to be fish that will actually use teeth to defend themsleves

piranah i am rehoming, i got for free, he lived in my tank now is around 6 inches but gets his butt kicked by everyone so now hes alone in a 40 long.

Cichlids are the issue I LOVE them but i want some cool monster fish also i love watching them

i know common wolf fish are aggressive but i prefer a foot or under red tail cuda made it good cause of speed

yellowtail was insane aggressive

store here has doredos, sabala pike, and odeo

too big i wish i could take some. or one of each they would at least fight back

Sunfish for mean cichlids or snakeskin gouramis for gentle ones.

The problem with fish that will 'use there teeth to defend themselves' is that if they do they will shred the other fish! So it's a trade off dead/battered toothy oddball or shredded and dying cichlids!! It's really hard to mix the two given there respective temperaments and arsenal...

I have got away with it so far with my fahaka and occalated snakehead in a 220g with an aggressive cichlid comm. the fahaka ignores the cichlids as she is a lot bigger.... and the snakehead flares and chases any competition (again he is the second biggest fish in the tank) But even he has kicked the snot out of a peacock bass I had to remove as he was getting shredded. It will always be a VERY delicate balance.

Those fish use their teeth to eat not fight. Fish that fight with their teeth kill other fish, look at dovii and salvini cichlids

Those toothy fish you mentioned are best with peaceful tankmates I think

Fhaka puffer and snakehead are more worse than cichlids, I dont see teeth hanging out of either. I like fish that have long snouts and lots of teeth. The two fish u have i think are gonna kill all your cichlids. I dont think a dovii can even fight those off. THe fhaka will tear threw the snakehead. Fhaka even when 3 inches can fight 5 inch cichlids off. Those are overkill. ID LOVE to have them. But they are insane like large wolf fish.

you are missing a common wolffish hoplias M get rid of your cichlids and get one. U will have 3 monsters. Very nice tank. lol SNakeheads dont have dangerous teeth my dog caught a big one behind my house i think someone released it. I live bramlea area brampton it was living in a small pond. My dog caught it and crushed skull. I WISH i could have taken it. I have someone who will pay huge money for one. Water is too shallow too easy to catch i am shocked a heron didnt wreck it. i THINK SNAkeheads kill gars like true gars. ALAGator gars that are around 2 feet. They tear them up from beneath. I want a spotted gar so bad id die for one again good pets they are so calm not skitish. But i only have six footer they get 2 feet. They will snap back i think.
